He lay there. Listening for the soft sound of footsteps walking up the stairs. Listening for the creek of the door. He watched for feet to enter the room. Scared and frightened, he lay there. His mind was racing. Will they enter the room? He felt his heart running 1000 mph. He shook in fear from head to toe. It was getting stuffy and hot under the bed. The silence was broken by the sound of footsteps, Slowly climbing up the stairs. His heart was now running at 10000 mph. He trembled with fear. The footsteps got louder….. And louder. Then stopped. The door creaked open and light enter the room. His breathing slowed down. The world slowed down. Someone had pushed the big red button and slowed the world down. His hands got sweaty.he felt hot. Walking across the room was a man's feet. Will he find me? Will he see me? They walked over to the window and opened the curtain.  BOO! His dad popped under the bed and pulled him out. That was an intense round of hide n seek.

Persuasive Writing - Why we should wear mufti

Why we should wear mufti

The first reason why we should wear mufti is that if we don't have a school jacket jumper, we freeze. We aren't allowed to wear a mufti jumper in the winter. Because we can't, we get sick. If we do wear a mufti one we get a uniform pass and after it expires we are expected to have a school one. Because the yr 8 uniform is no longer sold, we can't go and buy a new one; And we can't wear the new one with the old uniform. Also, there is no point in buying the new uniform because we are only here for 6 more months.

The second reason why we should wear mufti is that we have to wear completely black shoes. It's hard to find completely black shoes in the shop because they either have white souls you can see, they don't have your size and they are extremely uncomfortable. If we don't have the correct shoes, we are expected to go and buy new ones. Not everyone has the time to go and get new shoes. And not everyone can afford it.

The third reason why we should wear mufti is that our uniform is that it's expensive. Our uniform is very expensive and some people don't have the money to buy it. Some people only got their uniform by getting it off an ex-student. If we wore mufti we wouldn't have to buy a uniform. We wouldn't have to buy mufti either (well every once in awhile we would have to) because there is a thing called a washing machine that cleans our clothes so we can wear them again.

In conclusion, we should wear mufti because we freeze because we don't have a jacket and can't wear a random one if we don't have black shoes expected to go out and buy completely black shoes if we don't have them and it's expensive

Why we shouldn't have Homework

The First reason why we shouldn't have homework is that some people have no time to do it. Some people have activities on after school and have no time afterwards. I have hockey on Tuesdays from 4 til 7. Sometimes my games are 4-5 but then we go get dinner, eat, have a shower. By the time I do that it's 8:30 and I go to sleep. Loads of people have sports after school like hockey, gymnastics, netball, soccer, rugby, dance and so on. Even if the game or activity finishes early, we are too tired to sit down and do maths and we also have to have a shower and eat.

Secondly, we need to sleep and relax. Teachers pile up the homework and there's too much. We spend our weekends catching up on the piles of homework because we couldn't do it on weekdays because of after school activities. .We have to do it all before a certain date. Sometimes we are expected to do it in a week. Because different teachers give you different homework we have no time to sleep or relax.  We end up having very little time to chill out with our friends. Or we do our homework with our friends because they have a whole pile they couldn't finish during the week either.

lastly, it can cause stress and stress can lead to depression. Some people think they have to cram everything in because they can't do it all they panic and get stressed. We also lose sleep and get stressed about the tiniest things. Because we aren't sleeping and we are stressed, we get grouchy. We grump at our parents and they tell us off for staying up too late.

In conclusion, we shouldn't have homework because we have no time to do it, we need to sleep and relax. Because we have sports after school, we have no time for sleep and then we get stressed and grumpy.

1st person:

Bath Time! My favourite time of the day. I turned on the tap and hopped into the tub. I watched as the floor around me disappeared under the water. The sail popped up behind me and I started gliding atop the water. The turtles and fish swam underneath me. The wind tugged and pulled my hair in different directions. As the sea rose higher I floated further into the sea. All around me was water and fish. There were dolphins and whales playing. I watched the dolphins and I could feel a smile on my face. I was happy and peaceful. I wish I could stay here forever. I could see stingrays and a school of fish below. They looked happy and peaceful too. I wonder what it would be like to live in the sea. If I could live in the sea, I would be a dolphin. I'd laugh and jump in and out of the water all day. I would travel the world and see places I'd never see as a little girl. As I leant over the boat to watch the turtles, some of my hair fell into the water. I looked up and Suddenly the water started disappearing and I was in the bathroom once again. I got out of the bath put on my PJs and ran of to bed.

3rd person:

There was a little girl, floating on the water in her bathtub. She was peering down into the ocean, watching the sea life play. Her long brown hair was falling behind her and rested on her lovely blue shirt. Her bath tub was filling the sea with more and more water. She looked at the dolphins with a smile on her face. As she drifted further and further into the ocean, she slowly disappeared.

Old vs New

Makey Makey

On Thursday and Today (Friday), we did Makey Makey. Makey Makey is where you sue a whole bunch of diffrent conductors to play games. My group was Me, Ashlee and Emma. We made a piano out of wires and tinfoil. On the piano we made we played mary had a little lamb. One of us held the main wire and the other held the person with the main wire.   Next time i would like to play a song like twinkle twinkle little star or the Harry Potter theme song.
